The Quitman House, part of the Rhinebeck (Quitman) Resource Center for Preservation, was incorporated in 1976 as a non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation. The house was named for its original occupant and, in recognition of its significance in Rhinebeck history, was officially designated as a historic site by the Town of Rhinebeck in 1986.
